FAQ's

In order to record audio, you have to external microphones must be attached to the camera and connected to the back of the monitor. 

You also need to set the AUDIO to “ON” in <RECORD SETUP>. In the window where you set the SIZE, FPS, and QUALITY of the recording, you will also see the AUDIO option. Confirm or set the AUDIO to on in order to include audio in the recording. 

Also, choose <SOUND> in your <SYSTEM SETUP> Menu and set the LIVE AUDIO to “ON”.  *NOTE: Only one external microphone can be attached to the unit within the 4 channels.  Microphones can be purchased through a third party supplier

Yes, but only on our 8 (eight) channel systems. On our 8 (eight) channel systems, you can have up to 8 (eight) cameras. You cannot add anymore cameras to our 4 (four) channel systems other than the 4 (four) cameras that come standard with your system. Here are your camera options.

[Installation] Can I use my old cameras for my existing system?
We can only guarantee that the appropriate Samsung cameras will work with your systems.

Yes, your DVR is able to create up to 8 accounts.

SHR-1041/1041K
You can configure your record settings in the [RECORD SETUP] section. Push the [MENU] button on the front panel or on your remote. Use the up/down buttons to select <RECORD SETUP>. Select <RECORD OPERATIONS> and use the up/down buttons to select and set the recording mode.  Select SIMPLE

Once you set the <RECORDING MODE> to SIMPLE in <RECORDING OPERATIONS>, you will gain access to the “SIMPLE RECORDING” tab.  At this tab, use the up/down buttons to select TIME BAR and set your camera for “continuous” or “motion” recording. 

Your System is very easily installed.
SME-422N, SME-2220N, SME-4221N, and SMT-190DN are monitors with built in DVRs. They come with everything that you need in the box, which include four cameras and the mounts for the camera, and 60ft of cable for each camera.

SDE-120N, SDE-3000N, and SHR-1041K come with everything you need, except a monitor. All you need is your own monitor and you’re ready to go.   They really are a snap to set up.

For the best signal, you can extend your cable up to 120ft (two 60ft cables connected). This does not mean you cannot extend it further. However, we do want you to note that there is a slight drop in signal for each additional connection beyond the recommended two. 

There is no need for any type of extra connectors. Each cable connects to the other with ease. Simple connect the male to the female, and you can extend your cable length without any hassle. When extending your cable beyond the optimal 120 feet, please pay special attention when connection to minimize signal loss.




 

The default username is admin (case sensitive) and your default password is 4321

Continuous mode records continuously while Motion mode records only if a motion is detected.
